Travvc Entrepreneur designed for the youth creates business opportunities and generates income by removing the main barriers of entry to entrepreneurship. We desire to break down barriers of entry into entrepreneurship. We bridge the resource scarcity gap for small to medium scale entrepreneurs, SMEs, especially the youth by enabling business to be conducted on our platform through a supply chain process flow, from the request for a quotation, to order generation, delivery and payment.

Youths from different countries are encouraged to form profit sharing cooperatives and raise capital via small contributions. These cooperatives can then venture into agriculture, mining, agrobusiness, commodity and many other productive ventures and our aim is to provide market linkages as well as warehousing and logistical support. The cooperatives are required to formalize themselves and register their membership with Travvc entrepreneur. These cooperatives can acquire pieces of land for growing various agricultural produce, acquire small scale mining rights, and procure affordable value addition equipment for various agrobusiness ventures.

For example, an estimated 9 million people (mostly youth) in Africa are directly involved in artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) – and an additional 54 million indirectly depend on ASM for their livelihoods. (In most African countries, 5-20% of the population directly depends on ASM.) However, almost all ASM activities are informal and occur outside of legal frameworks.

Travvc Trade attempts to address these barriers by providing artisanal miners with geological, value-addition, market and logistical support.
